“ “Baby, if it makes you feel better, I’m scared to death right now that I won’t be able to take a breath without you wrapped around me.”
Things We Hide From The Light, ya’ll I WAS NOT READY FOR ALL THE FEELS!
Okay, so let’s get into the review…. Nash was shot back in TWNGO right and he is still dealing with that fall out. New, we meet Lina back in the first book as well, who is Knox’s ex-GF but they were really best friends who decided to date super beefy and it didn’t work out and they are still BF’s. No drama there. When she has her first run in with Nash, he’s in the middle of s full blown panic attack and she helps him. Nash…Nash has been struggling. I mean my boy is riding the depression train HARD and I felt for him and empathized with him SO much throughout this book. If you hav ever had to deal with depression and anxiety, you will feel seen so much. The way Lucy wrote Nash vulnerability was so real and so raw. It was 🤌🏾. Lina, has he own share of issues as well, because of course she does. Lina puts on this hard extra because she was so vulnerable almost her whole life and she has to prove to everyone she’s okay, but Nash, my dude see’s right though that hard shell and gets to that marshmallow center. And of course Knockemout wouldn’t be Knockemout without the town’s crazy residents, from the senior cectizens aerobics class that almost Killed Lina and Stef, to the whole town playing detective. The laughs were a plenty and the steam was steaming. I was Leary how she was gonna top Knox and Naomi but she did. A great ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star read gain! Cant wait for Thing We Left Behind, because Lucian and Sloan are gonna burn those pages UP
Asher and Levi both attend rival schools and they compete against each other on the Pitch. They both come from different worlds as Levi is privileged and Asher has struggled for what he has. The tension is high and the gloves come off in order to try to one up each other. The pranks played on both sides get a bit crazy. The battle of the Savages begins and one night ends up turning their emotions upside down and opening their minds to a different perspective. This is a rivals, enemies to lovers MM HEA that is a definite hit! I loved every turn of the page and equally fell in love for both. LEVASH all the way!! The story was emotional at times and the tit for tat can take you back at times but this story is like a movie you cant tear your eyes away from and you have to see what happens. The story is beautifully written and the characters are well developed. LEVASH is sexy, edgy and can also have that sweet softness with each other. You will not be disappointed!
In this delightful flip of a classic romance trope, Megan Frampton creates a handsome, witty, hero in need of a wealthy bride who meets his match in Lady Jane Capel, from A Wicked Bargain with the Duke. Perfect for fans of Sarah McLean, Tessa Dare, and Eloisa James.
“Strong heroines, sexy heroes, delicious stories. Make Megan Frampton your next read!” —Sarah MacLean, New York Times bestselling author
It’s a well-known fact that when a man is in search of a bride, a good dowry is never a hindrance.
Thomas Sharpe is handsome, well-bred, and desperately in need of a wealthy bride. His father has lost their income, his sister needs looking after, and so to save them all from a life of poverty he travels to London in search of an heiress.
Enter Lady Jane Capel. After her fiancé ended their engagement two years ago, Jane boldly left her parents’ home and moved in with her half-brother Percy. What does one more scandal matter to a family with such a curious reputation? Jane is independent, but not as well versed in life—and love—as she wants.
The two of them strike a deal: Thomas will show her all there is to know about the world —and intimacy—and Jane will help him find a bride. But the more time they spend together and the closer they get, the two of them soon realize that things aren’t so simple when it comes to men and women…
While this book is the first in the A Hazards of Dukes series that I have read, as you all know, it is not the first book or series I have read by this author. I have to say it, Megan Frampton has written another super fun read!! She has a way of creating characters who complement each other flawlessly, while putting them in environments and situations that allow them to shine as both individuals as well as a couple. These leading characters and this book are the perfect display of those skills.
Thomas Sharp is a well born gentleman without a penny to his name. Thanks to poor investments made by his father he is now responsible to save his family by marrying a wealthy heiress. This task should be as easy as a walk in the park for such a charming, good looking, gentleman as himself, right? Wrong! Two years into the task and he still has no prospects and the situation with his family has become desperate. Will no one see past his rakish ways and give him a chance to prove he will make a good husband?
Lady Jane Capel just wants to claim her life for her own and live it while she can. After her fiancé jilted her and her parents disowned her, she sought refuge from society living with her brother Percy. Now that she has healed her wounds she is determined to experience all the joys of life. To the point she makes a scandalous deal with her brother’s best friend, in the back room of a gaming club. Will he keep his end of the deal and show her all the things she has been missing?
I had so much fun reading this book and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
Here we have Mr Hockey Hottie Ford who we have seen as a Playboy and I would say a bit spoiled. First I should say that I was a little worried for this story because in my head Lena should be the only one in his life. Ford is a single dad and Lena is the family friend whose job is to basically put a cute bow on any situation with Ford family. This is a enemies to lovers, fake relationship, sports romance, single dad and I am pretty sure you will feel all bases are covered! Lena knows Ford is nothing but trouble but with time spent she starts to see a different side of him. I was anxious to see how Ford story was going to go. He was a bit of a wild one and to me he was not a favorite for me until I read his story. I should never doubt this author because they always surprise me. I loved Lena she was strong and sweet and she had a side to her that opened up Ford eyes to see some people have other sides to them. Ford I fell in love with. He won me over with his edginess and then his sweet side with his baby girl. The attraction is off the charts and Ford charisma will have you blushing and cheesing all the way to the end! Great read and a must one click!
When I stumbled across my dream job in the classified section of my newspaper, I knew it had to be too good to be true.
Turns out it was.
Becoming the nanny for the grumpiest hockey coach in the NHL was more like a nightmare.
Liam Cartright was infuriating, stubborn, and impossible. Oh, and he happened to be my new boss.
I should have signed my resignation with a giant kiss my ass the moment he opened his mouth, but I couldn’t.
I fell for his little girls before I realized it was happening, and my resolve began to weaken.
Our roles were clearly drawn out.
He was the boss, and I was the nanny.
But then we crossed a line.
I wouldn’t lose my job over a chiseled jawline and a few stolen kisses.
I couldn’t. Not when so much was at stake.
But Liam was the one who made the rule book, and I had no choice but to play by his rules.
This was a new author to me and I love anything sports romance so I gave it a shot. Liam is sweet and you really warm up to him seeing him as a single dad and going through life. Juliet seems strong and independent and trying to make life work. She answers a newspaper ad for a nanny and finds herself interviewing with a sexy stranger that she had previously met. I enjoyed Juliet relationship with the girls but I felt that her relationship with Liam felt like it was missing something. I also felt like the ending was a bit lacking and didn’t really win me over. Liam was a bit hot and cold so you have some angst and you do get that HEA. I do give it 3 1/2 stars and would not be opposed to ready another book from this author to see if maybe it was just this story that didn’t fully win me over. I think overall its worth a shot for you to read. There are some funny moments and I really liked Liam mom and his girls so overall I recommend.
And what I must be is a flawless daughter, a skilled socialite, and the perfect prize to the man who signed along the dotted line.
Not that I’m complaining.
I’m all for a contractual agreement, a quick and clean catapult into the next phase of rich girl life. One that takes little thought, less effort, and zero devotion.
It’s exactly what I want.
An impassive life.
A calculated future.
Or, it was until the lights went out, darkness took over, and I learned what it meant to live.
To feel.
To fall.
But everyone knows what thrives in the night burns in the light and flames were among us.
There is no escape.
No turning back.
No ending within my control.
My mother always says our choices determine our consequences.
I hate it when she’s right.
__
This is an all-new 103k word standalone romance about a rich girl and the trouble she finds herself in when she catches the eye of a guy unlike the ones in her world.
Okay, so let me pick my jaw off the floor….. So I have read Meagan books and they are dirty and can be complex but I was not ready for the storm that awaited me in this book. “The Blackout Boys” are a force to be reckon with. I had all kinds of feelings at first and I was proceeding with caution as I went into this read totally blind. You see the dynamic between the boys and Jameson and it’s intriguing and left me feeling like I could not tear my eyes off of the words on the page. Jameson (loved the name) is a kick ass heroine who will have you laughing and on the edge of your seat. The twists and turns to the plot you will not expect . I loved that I was nail biting my way through this story. Everybody has demons in this story some are more tamed than others. It’s a wild ride that is worth every bit! Badly behaved is such a great indulgence.
Meagan Brandy is a USA Today and Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author of New Adult and Sports Romance books.
Born and raised in California, she is a married mother of three crazy boys who keep her bouncing from one sports field to another, depending on the season, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Starbucks is her best friend and words are her sanity.
In the middle of a crowded bar in our small Alaskan town, my estranged wife snuggles up to me as if we’re still a happy couple.
Don’t get me wrong, we were a happy couple—before she walked out on me a year ago. We were the high school sweethearts everyone thought were destined to be together forever. We thought so too, which is why we married shortly after graduation.
We had a good marriage. Until she left me without any real explanation.
Now, she’s back—and this is the real kicker—she has amnesia and thinks I’m still her husband. Technically I am, although the divorce papers are sitting at the lawyer’s office.
She’s desperate to remember her life in Sunrise Bay but I only want to find out why she left me. Once we conjure that memory up, it’s sayonara because there’s no second chances here. But as you probably already figured out, things didn’t go quite as I planned.
If you have seen any of my other reviews for this author it’s no secret that I have been a huge fan. This is the second book in their new series and a new family line. The covers so far are colorful and in my opinion just draws you to the book. I was intrigued with he taste of Adam story from the last book and couldn’t wait to see how they could pull this off. I fell in love with Adam! I have a new book boyfriend and I feel like I have said that a lot when it comes to this author. The storylines and characters are believable and make you want to dive in to this world. My heart initially broke for Adam and I wanted to hug him tight! He was patient and caring and you could feel the love he has for his high school sweetheart. The road that he and Lucy ventured left you feeling so many emotions. I wanted to cry and laugh and just scream please be fixed. I could not imagine how it would be to wake up and not have my memory and recognize the people that you love. Adam and Lucy are my number one couple. Their story was a beautiful journey of how two people find that lost love and the road to repairing and hopefully finding a HEA.

* Instant NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY bestseller * * GOODREADS CHOICE AWARD WINNER for BEST DEBUT and BEST ROMANCE of 2019 * * BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR* for VOGUE, NPR, VANITY FAIR, and more! * What happens when America’s First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales?
When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There’s only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.
Heads of family, state, and other handlers devise a plan for damage control: staging a truce between the two rivals. What at first begins as a fake, Instragramable friendship grows deeper, and more dangerous, than either Alex or Henry could have imagined. Soon Alex finds himself hurtling into a secret romance with a surprisingly unstuffy Henry that could derail the campaign and upend two nations and begs the question: Can love save the world after all? Where do we find the courage, and the power, to be the people we are meant to be? And how can we learn to let our true colors shine through? Casey McQuiston’s Red, White & Royal Blue proves: true love isn’t always diplomatic. “I took this with me wherever I went and stole every second I had to read! Absorbing, hilarious, tender, sexy—this book had everything I crave. I’m jealous of all the readers out there who still get to experience Red, White & Royal Blue for the first time!” – Christina Lauren, New York Times bestselling author of The Unhoneymooners
“Red, White & Royal Blue is outrageously fun. It is romantic, sexy, witty, and thrilling. I loved every second.” – Taylor Jenkins Reid, New York Times bestselling author of Daisy Jones & The Six
So I read this book on recommendation of a good Enemies to Lovers book from booktok having no idea what it was about going in, and sometimes those are hit or miss. this book fell into the HIT category!
If you are going to judge it by this category alone then yes, obviously you should read the book, but this is so much more.
This was my first M/M read and I absolutely adored it! It’s hilarious and hopeful and progressive thinking of this idyllic future that should not be as far away as it has ever been.
There is a woman president with mixed race children who own and are proud of their heritage instead of feeling they have to hide it in the limelight. The love shown in this book is what everyone in the world dreams of experiencing, sharing, reveling in, and growing up with.
Side note, it was so weird reading about travel and gathering and rally’s in the year 2020 with no mention of wearing masks, but like I said, idyllic.
I laughed of course but cried so much at times. I recommend this book to everyone.
I would do anything for my family, including marrying a man who hates me.
Not like I had a choice when the person who helped raise me tells me who I must marry in order to save my home.
When I came face to face with Alex Wilks again, the man who despises me and wishes I never stepped foot back into Kinder Falls after the day I left, I didn’t know what I was in for.
Alex was the boy I once idolized, but later, he became the man that broke my trust.
Both of us are reluctant to dig into the lies and secrets surrounding the night that broke us apart.
Because it might end up being the truth that destroys us.
One year.
We just have to survive one year.
The only thing is, we both have so much to lose.
But maybe everything to gain.
Sometimes I worry when I dive into a new author because of course you don’t want to be disappointed and left finding something else to read. At first glance the cover on this book is eye catching and it’s a cute cover. Then there is the disclaimer of possible triggers and now I am more intrigued. The prologue started a emotional roller coaster that I was not expecting at all. And from there it’s a wild ride. This book really pulls at all the heart strings. This is a second chance romance elevated. My heart breaks for June and amazed at how strong she is from the minute you start reading the first sentence. Alex I wanted to punch him but again he didn’t have the whole story. When these two come together it’s beautiful. This story was written beautifully and showed the good the bad and the ugly with a HEA to soothe that rollercoaster ride . It is a book about healing and finding that love and comfort. This was definitely not what I expected when I started reading but I love when I discover a new author and it makes me want to binge anything else that they have written. Great read all the way!
USA TODAY Bestselling Author Erica Marselas writes a little bit of everything. From sweet stalkers, to forbidden love, to rom comes, to young adult because she believes no love story is created equal and every story deserves to be told. Even the fictional ones. As long as she can dream it, she’ll write it.
When Erica isn’t writing she’s a wife, a mother of four little ones residing in Maryland.
Dt. Dr. Pepper is her drink of choice, but tequila keeps her sane. She’s a sucker for Christmas movies and serial killer documentaries.
Who’s the mystery woman who just walked into my brewery? I’m not the only one from my Alaskan small town asking themselves that question. But I’m positive, I’m the only one in Sunrise Bay undressing the pretty blonde in my head. Everything about her, from her make-up to her high heels says she’s a fish out of water. Whispers and speculations run rampant until the secret of who she is gets uncovered. Then the rumor mill goes into overdrive when she announces she’s staying to open a bookstore in the building next to mine—throwing a big wrench into my plans to buy that empty building. I quickly find myself in a tug-of-war since my business partner/brother is upset she’s ruined the opportunity to expand our business. I try to keep my distance, but I’ve got one sister with a gossip column on the local radio station and two meddling grandmas setting me up as a tour director. And now I kind of like the idea of our new neighbor staying. But small-town life isn’t for the weak—time will tell if she has what it takes to be one of us.
Did someone say new series? Yep the duo does it again! New family and town but still all the bells and whistles we love. I cried after the last series and glad to have a new family to be obsessed with. This book delivered in true Piper Rayne fashion and packed a punch. We meet again our grandma duo that we love and guess what ladies and gentleman……. they are still up to their same tricks lol. Cade is part owner of the local brewery along with his step brother Jed and they hope to expand their business and come close to snatching up the space next door. Well we know what happens to plans sometimes. Presley is the blonde beauty in town that has everyone whispering. When Cade and Presley meet well lets say its not a instant friendship lol. Presley is determined but has some issues to work through. With some time these teo come to an agreement but will it work? Love the cover its so colorful and alluring. Again loved the hero and heroine both funny and charismatic.
