Asher and Levi both attend rival schools and they compete against each other on the Pitch. They both come from different worlds as Levi is privileged and Asher has struggled for what he has. The tension is high and the gloves come off in order to try to one up each other. The pranks played on both sides get a bit crazy. The battle of the Savages begins and one night ends up turning their emotions upside down and opening their minds to a different perspective. This is a rivals, enemies to lovers MM HEA that is a definite hit! I loved every turn of the page and equally fell in love for both. LEVASH all the way!! The story was emotional at times and the tit for tat can take you back at times but this story is like a movie you cant tear your eyes away from and you have to see what happens. The story is beautifully written and the characters are well developed. LEVASH is sexy, edgy and can also have that sweet softness with each other. You will not be disappointed!

Badly Behaved by Megan Brady(Review Post)
Published April 9, 2021 by bookbestiesI’m a Monet.
A chameleon.
I’m whatever I must be.
And what I must be is a flawless daughter, a skilled socialite, and the perfect prize to the man who signed along the dotted line.
Not that I’m complaining.
I’m all for a contractual agreement, a quick and clean catapult into the next phase of rich girl life. One that takes little thought, less effort, and zero devotion.
It’s exactly what I want.
An impassive life.
A calculated future.
Or, it was until the lights went out, darkness took over, and I learned what it meant to live.
To feel.
To fall.
But everyone knows what thrives in the night burns in the light and flames were among us.
There is no escape.
No turning back.
No ending within my control.
My mother always says our choices determine our consequences.
I hate it when she’s right.
__
This is an all-new 103k word standalone romance about a rich girl and the trouble she finds herself in when she catches the eye of a guy unlike the ones in her world.
Okay, so let me pick my jaw off the floor….. So I have read Meagan books and they are dirty and can be complex but I was not ready for the storm that awaited me in this book. “The Blackout Boys” are a force to be reckon with. I had all kinds of feelings at first and I was proceeding with caution as I went into this read totally blind. You see the dynamic between the boys and Jameson and it’s intriguing and left me feeling like I could not tear my eyes off of the words on the page. Jameson (loved the name) is a kick ass heroine who will have you laughing and on the edge of your seat. The twists and turns to the plot you will not expect . I loved that I was nail biting my way through this story. Everybody has demons in this story some are more tamed than others. It’s a wild ride that is worth every bit! Badly behaved is such a great indulgence.

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston(Review Post)
Published April 1, 2021 by bookbesties* Instant NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY bestseller *
* GOODREADS CHOICE AWARD WINNER for BEST DEBUT and BEST ROMANCE of 2019 *
* BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR* for VOGUE, NPR, VANITY FAIR, and more! *
What happens when America’s First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales?
When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There’s only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.
Heads of family, state, and other handlers devise a plan for damage control: staging a truce between the two rivals. What at first begins as a fake, Instragramable friendship grows deeper, and more dangerous, than either Alex or Henry could have imagined. Soon Alex finds himself hurtling into a secret romance with a surprisingly unstuffy Henry that could derail the campaign and upend two nations and begs the question: Can love save the world after all? Where do we find the courage, and the power, to be the people we are meant to be? And how can we learn to let our true colors shine through? Casey McQuiston’s Red, White & Royal Blue proves: true love isn’t always diplomatic.
“I took this with me wherever I went and stole every second I had to read! Absorbing, hilarious, tender, sexy—this book had everything I crave. I’m jealous of all the readers out there who still get to experience Red, White & Royal Blue for the first time!” – Christina Lauren, New York Times bestselling author of The Unhoneymooners
“Red, White & Royal Blue is outrageously fun. It is romantic, sexy, witty, and thrilling. I loved every second.” – Taylor Jenkins Reid, New York Times bestselling author of Daisy Jones & The Six

So I read this book on recommendation of a good Enemies to Lovers book from booktok having no idea what it was about going in, and sometimes those are hit or miss. this book fell into the HIT category!
If you are going to judge it by this category alone then yes, obviously you should read the book, but this is so much more.
This was my first M/M read and I absolutely adored it! It’s hilarious and hopeful and progressive thinking of this idyllic future that should not be as far away as it has ever been.
There is a woman president with mixed race children who own and are proud of their heritage instead of feeling they have to hide it in the limelight.
The love shown in this book is what everyone in the world dreams of experiencing, sharing, reveling in, and growing up with.
Side note, it was so weird reading about travel and gathering and rally’s in the year 2020 with no mention of wearing masks, but like I said, idyllic.
I laughed of course but cried so much at times. I recommend this book to everyone.

Her Reluctant Husband by Erica Marselas (Review Post)
Published March 28, 2021 by bookbestiesI would do anything for my family, including marrying a man who hates me.
Not like I had a choice when the person who helped raise me tells me who I must marry in order to save my home.
When I came face to face with Alex Wilks again, the man who despises me and wishes I never stepped foot back into Kinder Falls after the day I left, I didn’t know what I was in for.
Alex was the boy I once idolized, but later, he became the man that broke my trust.
Both of us are reluctant to dig into the lies and secrets surrounding the night that broke us apart.
Because it might end up being the truth that destroys us.
One year.
We just have to survive one year.
The only thing is, we both have so much to lose.
But maybe everything to gain.
Sometimes I worry when I dive into a new author because of course you don’t want to be disappointed and left finding something else to read. At first glance the cover on this book is eye catching and it’s a cute cover. Then there is the disclaimer of possible triggers and now I am more intrigued. The prologue started a emotional roller coaster that I was not expecting at all. And from there it’s a wild ride. This book really pulls at all the heart strings. This is a second chance romance elevated. My heart breaks for June and amazed at how strong she is from the minute you start reading the first sentence. Alex I wanted to punch him but again he didn’t have the whole story. When these two come together it’s beautiful. This story was written beautifully and showed the good the bad and the ugly with a HEA to soothe that rollercoaster ride . It is a book about healing and finding that love and comfort. This was definitely not what I expected when I started reading but I love when I discover a new author and it makes me want to binge anything else that they have written. Great read all the way!

This is a new author to me but I figured ok rockstar and MM I will give it a go. I love the cover so that was a plus and the blurb hooked me a bit more. So now moving along to starting the book. I really enjoyed her writing style. This was a winner for me. First you have Jamie , the rockstar, who is famous and a huge sex symbol to the world but has a huge secret about his sexual orientation. Then there is out and proud Sammy who is smooth and funny and just gives you the cool guy vibe. I love the story of Jamie emotions and his struggles of being gay but having to have that image that you feel you have to portray yourself as. Their connection was sweet and heartwarming. This was a home run for me. There was never a dull moment and I loved the friend group. I love it when a author creates a environment in the book and you just wish that it was real and happening now so I can go chill and play Mario Kart too! Lol overall win from cover to end for me.

A Lady’s Formula for Love (The Secret Scientists of London Book 1) by Elizabeth Everett REVIEW POST
Published March 17, 2021 by bookbestiesWhat is a Victorian lady’s formula for love? Mix one brilliant noblewoman and her enigmatic protection officer. Add in a measure of danger and attraction. Heat over the warmth of humor and friendship, and the result is more than simple chemistry–it’s elemental.
Lady Violet is keeping secrets. First, she founded a clandestine sanctuary for England’s most brilliant female scientists. Second, she is using her genius on a confidential mission for the Crown. But the biggest secret of all? Her feelings for protection officer Arthur Kneland.
Solitary and reserved, Arthur learned the hard way to put duty first. But the more time he spends in the company of Violet and the eccentric club members, the more his best intentions go up in flames. Literally.
When a shadowy threat infiltrates Violet’s laboratories, endangering her life and her work, scientist and bodyguard will find all their theories put to the test–and learn that the most important discoveries are those of the heart.

Ok Besties, it is my pleasure to introduce you to break out author Elizabeth Everett. In this her first book we get to see her attention to detail in both building a multitude of characters but in the intricate ways they all interact with one another, and how each interaction is worked into the story line in ways that allow you grow to know the hero and heroine individually outside of their interactions. It was a unique experience and I really enjoyed it. I also was surprised that although this heroine is literally a damsel in distress, who our hero has been hired to safeguard, and not my typical cup of- sassy, independent, knows what she wants, bada$$ heroine- tea, I found myself championing her success and loving her all the same. What she lacks in self-confidence, poise, and cunning she makes up for in determination, goodwill, and intelligence and seriously those things combined give her a different kind of strength. A kind of quiet strength that I think the world needs to recognize more of, so bravo to this author for spotlighting it! This isn’t your typical historical romance in that the setting is a secret society for lady scientists and really, that alone was half of the fun of the book, you never knew when something would randomly explode or crawl out from under the door. Of course the other half of the excitement that makes this book such an enjoyable read is the romance that we see bloom between our damsel and her guardian. Watching as both characters discover their self-worth through their reflection in the other’s eyes and witnessing the amount of personal growth and discovery the connection between them allows warms my heart and brings a smile to my face every time I think about it. Lady Violet Greycliff and Authur Kneland perfect for each other and I am glad they get their HEA.
So with all that in mind I think it is safe to safe that I really liked this book, I am excited to see where this author’s career will take us, and I can’t wait to see what all of you think as well.

The Princess and the Rogue: A Bow Street Bachelors Novel(Review Post)
Published December 29, 2020 by bookbestiesBow Street agent Sebastien Wolff, Earl of Mowbray, doesn’t believe in love—until a passionate kiss with a beautiful stranger in a brothel forces him to reconsider. When the mysterious woman is linked to an intrigue involving a missing Russian princess, however, Seb realizes her air of innocence was too good to be true.
Princess Anastasia Denisova has been hiding in London as plain ‘Anna Brown’. With a dangerous traitor hot on her trail, her best option is to accept Wolff’s offer of protection—and accommodation—at his gambling hell. But living in such close quarters, and aiding Wolff in his Bow Street cases, fans the flames of their mutual attraction. If Anya’s true identity is revealed, does their romance stand a chance? Could a princess ever marry a rogue?
This is the first book by this author that I have had the pleasure to read and review for all of you. I must tell you how delighted I am that even though this book is part of a series it 100% reads like a stand-alone. So much so that I didn’t realize it was part of a series until I looked at the cover page to make sure I spelled the author’s name correctly while writing this review. That being said I am really hopeful that we will get to share more of not only this series but this author with each other. Because this is one of those books where you fall in love with the heroine’s tenacity and will to survive on the first page, then find yourself sucking in your breath in anticipation of the perils she faces, knowing full well she is amazing and will doubtlessly pull through unscathed. This book has it all: a notorious and handsome rogue, a brothel, faithful friends, a terrible villain, suspense, and above all things true love that conquers even the most cynical of hearts. With that being said; I adored these characters, loved the way the author wrote their story, and from start to finish enjoyed this book immensely.
After the death of her brother, Russian, Princess Anastasia “Anya” Denisova found herself stranded in Paris and resorting to desperate measures to keep from being forced into a marriage with the abusive traitor, Count Vasili Petrov. After faking her own suicide and fleeing to England we find Anya living in Covent Garden, next to Mrs. Haye’s brothel and working as a part time companion to the Dowager Duchess of Winwick. Doing her best to maintain her new identity becomes impossible when Count Petrov not only comes to London circulating a story that he is looking for his lost fiancé but is spotted leaving Mrs. Haye’s. With help of her employer, who has become a dear friend and only one of two people in her new life who knows her true identity, she must go into hiding. It is decided, after a failed kidnapping attempt was made on her, that the safest place for her to lay low until Petrov returns to Russia is in the private residence rooms of Tricorn Club, under the protection of the Duchess’ nephew. Should she trust him with her true identity? Will he be able to keep her safe?
Sebastian Wolff, Earl of Mowbray, notorious rogue by night, partial Tricorn Club owner and Bow Street investigator by day, has been given an assignment; to investigate the possibility of a Russian spy who was giving information to Napoleon. Dedicated to his pursuit of the truth and his bachelor life he has no time for or belief in the idea of love, that is until a onetime meeting with a mysterious woman in a brothel who plagues his thoughts and dreams. Never thinking he would cross paths with her again she was the last person he expected to see when he set out to protect his great aunt while she traveled to their country home. After rescuing her from an attempting kidnapping and at his great aunts most ardent request, he takes on the task of protecting and hiding her from those who wish her ill. He knows she is hiding something from him and possibly his great aunt and while she is living under his roof he is determined to find out what it is. Conveniently, as he works to uncover her secrets he finds that not only is she beautiful, well mannered, and enchanting, but that she may just be his best lead in the investigation of the Russian spy. Will he uncover her secrets and what will he do with them if he does?
I really enjoyed this book and am excited to read more from this author and this series. Let me know what you think.

This is a sports college romance. This is like a enemies to lover trope I would say. Demi is the daughter to the football coach and she has always thought that Rowan was a womanizer and cocky. Rowan is the star Football player and has been around Demi every Wednesday for her family weekly dinner with his coach. The attraction and tension is there and intensified when the coach asks for Demi to tutor Rowan. Once the secret is out Demi starts to see Rowan differently and it becomes a different ball game. Rowan is sweet and sexy and Demi can stand her ground.
It was a nice story but I felt that Demi could have been a little more aware of the feelings for Rowan and felt Rowan could have pursued her more. All in all it was a new author to me and I would not be opposed to reading other books from the author.
A Very Bossy Christmas by Kayley Loring(Review Post)
Published November 3, 2020 by bookbesties
What’s the actual last thing you’d ever want your executive assistant to see you doing the morning after you had hot, drunk, angry sex with her in a terrible hotel room? Dancing around your terrible hotel room to “Come and Get Your Love” like Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy–naked? Yeah. Me too.
And yet, here we are.
This isn’t even the most unprofessional thing that’s happened between us in the past couple of weeks.
The first was when I agreed to let her have Christmas Day off, but only if she goes with me to three family gatherings as my fake girlfriend.
The second was when she caught me belting out a Christmas song on stage in the awful hotel bar.
The third was the hot, drunk, angry sex that followed, but I do not regret it.
And she hasn’t even found out the real reason I need her by my side this holiday season.
I need to pull it together before I do the dumbest, most unprofessional thing of all–fall head over heels in love with the only assistant who’s lasted more than a month at the job and claims to hate me and my moods more than she hates eggnog.
And I’ve seen how much she hates eggnog.

Its time for some holiday romance to get you in the holiday spirit and this was a great start. I fell in love with Kyley style of writing and was excited for this read. This story doesnt only bring some holiday jingles but some laughter that will have you smiling till the end. Declan is a workaholic who used to work at a big time law firm and now works at a general counsel. He is demanding of his assistant Maddie who he feels is a god send of a assistant. Maddie likes to ruffle her boss feathers and has a insane attraction to Declan secretly. The dynamic between these two is refreshing and funny. You feel the heat between them and you know they will combust soon. Declan finds himself in a situation needing a fake girlfriend and he has his sights set on Maddie being the fill in. The warmth in Maddies eyes the more she spends time with Declan is so sweet. This was a feel good and funny read that was refreshing break from your normal reads. So far any read from this author has been a hit for me.

This is a new author to me and i really enjoyed her writing style.
Chari runs into billionaire and local celebrity Enzo at her brothers celebration. To her he is a crush but also her brothers best friend. Enzo wants Chari after their encounter and he is ready to fight for his best friends sister. These two will have to overcome several obstacles including the distance since they both live in diffrent area codes and also getting the blesdinh of dearest brother. Chari was a strong character but had some insecurities to work out. Enzo was this powerful local celebrity with a side of sexiness. The chemistry between these two was scorching. The storyline had a great flow, just the right amount of heat and strong characters were enough to make me a fan. Cant wait to see whats next!
