So, let me start by saying that I was never a huge fan of Zayne. In fact, I could have done with out him getting his HEA, Harsh I know but I was neither for him nor against him. When Storm and Fury came out I fell in love with Trinity and Zayne was just there, again neither for nor against. Well all that changed with Rage and Ruin.

This picks up exactly where it left off from S&F with Trinity still reeling from the betrayal, hurt and change she has had to go through. Now Zayne and Trinity have to navigate this new life together, finding the Harbinger, stop whoever is killing all the wardens with help from some familiar faces, and stopping the ever growing attraction they have toward each other.
This book, for me brought back the old Zayne who I had started to love in the original stories(See White hot Kiss) he was in but quickly fell out of that because of other things. NOW, I am firmly in the Team Zayne camp.
In this exciting continuation of the Harbinger series this book is filled with action, angst and sometimes heartbreaking goodness. I always feel that if you read an Armentrout male that you didn’t really care for, through her vivid way she writes, she always bring you back around to loving, if not LOVING him.
The ending of this book is explosive and (insert heartbreaking part) but it def leaves you wanting more, as always with Jen’s books.

I just recently started reading books from this author and every time its been a hit. Surprise this was another great read for me. Sports romance is definitely a specialty for Rebecca. This one was a first for me as it involved the sport of Golf!

Keira was doing great on her golf team until one slip up that has changed her coaches demeanor and has left her watching from the sidelines. She knows that she is in the top three and she just needs her coach to realize it. She has one run in with swing coach hottie Lincoln Reeves and she is not a fan at first.

Lincoln helps the boys golf team and ends up meeting kiera which has him intrigued from first sight. He ends up taking her on as a client to help her get noticed by her coach and the more time they spend together there are more than golf clubs swinging! The only issue are the hangups that Lincoln has from his failed marriage. Can these two get a hole in one?

Definitely loved these two and lincoln had his moments where i wanted to give him a smack but i enjoyed the build between them. A must read!

This was definitely the book that I couldn’t wait for and i was highly excited to see it in my kindle. Dylan and Rian are great friends and secretly have liked each other. Rian doesn’t think that her good girl persona would ever be something Dylan would want. Dylan thinks that Rian is too good for him and he does not want to lose their friendship. What happens when a old friend turned enemy moves in as the new roommate with Rian that has Dylan moving in also. May the best man win.

I loved Dylan with his sexy bad boy persona but inside he is a teddy bear. The relationship between him and Rian is sweet and flirty. You want the issues to just disappear so these two can just be together because they seem so right. Rian is smart and funny and can bake her butt off so what is there not to love? This was a great swoon worthy , friends to lovers romance that will have you smiling all the way.

This is a novella in the How to Date a Douchebag series which, one I love the title of the series and two I just love the series. This story is short and sweet and will have you chuckling from Prologue to the end. Rex is back to his old stomping grounds to help out the Wrestling team and he has some history from the past while he attended. Hannah is quirky, sassy and awkward and attends the university. After one swipe on the LoveU app and her convos with Rex start the ball rolling. Quickly we find out the struggles that Hannah has with guys and has everything to do with the lack of filter on her mouth and her quirks. Rex takes the role of teaching Hannah how to date a guy . You definitely see a different side to Rex and the banter between these two is hilarious. The chemistry is hot and there is a flirty, sweet and awkward banter that is amusing. Great short read from Sara Ney.

I have not been able to read a Shadow Riders book since Stefano and Franchesca, who brought me into this series. Being introduced to the inner selves of Nicoletta and Taviano brought me many details I was missing when I finished the first book and a renewed love for the Ferraro family.

I am a huge supporter of what they do as their “family business” and the care and protection they offer everyone they are close to. Just being involved in something as horrific as Nicoletta was, then to find a family bring her in and act as an actual family to her was extremely emotionally supportive.

Slight spoilers if you have not read the book yet…

But, the love and respect Tavino showers on Nicoletta as they grow close as well as trusting her with his deep, dark secret was very well emoted.

I have my own personal reader-issues with the repetitiveness in Ms Feehan’s books, along with the same personal trauma affecting all her characters. Otherwise it was excellently written as always. The characters had enough depth to where I was satisfied reading about them, but not overly bored trying to keep things straight from their past.

This is book two in the Rooftop Series and it involves a Prince, an outgoing friend group, and a sassy-strong minded heroine. I was on the fence about Sierra after the first book, and how she handled things with her friend, so i was interested to see how she her story would play out. Sierra and Prince Adrian as “royal” opposites, it was interesting to see how they would mix together, developing their slow burn, and building their romance; the pressure of royal families and past hangups was the challenge for these two. I didn’t immediately fall in love with this book but in the end, they both won me over! I enjoyed seeing the friend-group bring the story together and set the base for future characters. I definitely am excited for the next book

As you all know I am a SUPER FAN of The Gilded Age Girls Club series and have been anxiously waiting to get my hands on the next book. Well it’s here and like the first two, this one has a fierce leading lady who is ready to fight for what she wants in life. This heroine is a power house not only because she is determined to become a successful business woman and save her father’s legacy, but because she had the courage to divorce a Duke in a time where divorce was unheard of especially if it was a woman who was petitioning for it. Naturally she needs a leading man with as much will power and cunning as she has to make the story good and our hero does not disappoint. I couldn’t put this book down, I loved it so much! I cannot wait to see who we meet in the next book.

I have been a long time avid reader of Jennifer and I can say that as her debut high fantasy novel she KILLED IT! Whenever I see ‘high fantasy’ I don’t really know what to expect because it’s always the authors take on what high fantasy is to them and you just never know. Poppy has been hidden away her whole life, and has a duty to her people and kingdom but has always longed for more…more than just sitting in her room, more than just the few people who are allowed to speak to her and def more than no one ever looking at her fully without her veil in place. And that longing only grew since Hawke came to the castle. There is much that Poppy is unsure of, so question, but the one thing she does know is that she is drawn to Hawke and she is not sure why. But then things start to happen and Poppy’s world is turned on its axes leaving her with even more questions and uncertainties.

This story gripped me from the beginning to end. This is a different take on Vampires and I loved every second of this high paced, fun witty and surprising plot twisting story.

As always Jennifer has a way with making readers fall in love with her Hero’s and Hawke is no exception…..

That’s not to say that her Heroien is anything less than amazing..Poppy is strong minded and an all around BAD A!

This book is at my top read for 2020 and Jennifer captured perfectly all the aspects of a first book in a series to keep you wanting more. Action, suspense comedy and romance. I can’t wait to see where this world and these characters lead us next!

My Bestie’s Ex by Piper Rayne(Review Post)

I can’t borrow him.

He’s not a sweater or a skirt.

He’s not even her favorite dress—the lucky one she wears on first dates. The one she probably wore on her first date with him.

In my defense, I didn’t know who he was. To me, he was a cool, calm, confident stranger. He was perfection for the entire hour and a half train ride while the concrete jungle turned into a rolling green landscape.

To an outsider, we probably appeared more friends than hopeful lovers. But my blush came quickly, and his dimples indented with every smile. We definitely shared a spark of what could be.

Too bad I didn’t know who he was before I fell for him, because he can’t be mine.

Piper Rayne starts off a new series and of course it’s a win. This duo work well together and really know how to warm us up and really bring us in to feel like we are part of the clan. I love the side characters which of course gets you excited for the next books in the series.
I was a bit hesitant because of the title and thought okay this is different. One, I love The Mancini family so of course I enjoyed Blanca. Loyal and a breath of fresh air. Ethan is a bit hard to pin at first but he resists the attraction between himself and Blanca. Then when you think you are on cloud 9 the wrench is thrown into the mix and there are some decisions to be made and that HEA is in jeopardy. Overall I enjoyed meeting the rooftop crew the banter is funny and you can tell everyone has a great bond. I can’t wait to see more especially Rian book!

This is book 2 in the brotherhood by fire series and I was first introduced to Rafe in book 1 of the series.
Rafe is a sexy firefighter, who is not looking for anything serious and enjoys the life he lives. Carmen is his next door neighbor and also the nurse who is there when Rafe is brought in to the ER following an accident on the job.
With some time off after the accident Rafe is restless but starts to spend time with Carmen. They both have their own issues that they are dealing with, but are drawn top each other. Rafe is sweet and Carmen has feelings for her hot neighbor. As they spend time together you see the chemistry spark up. The question is can they both get past their issues to make things work? This romance is sweet and it builds. The way Rafe is with Carmen and her grandfather makes you fall for him. I have enjoyed the series so far. Another well written romance by Jaci Burton that will have you smoldering.
