I have enjoyed Lexi Blake books before so and I was excited for this new read.
Henry is the”monster of Manhattan”, the shark of a lawyer who is recovering from being a alcoholic. He went through a public divorce and all he wants is to get away to his hometown. He catches Win, a reality show star who is trying to recover from her demons, literally while she was running on the beach and from that first meeting I could tell I would love this couple.

Two hurt souls trying to heal each while not harboring secrets from each other plus an electrical storm and you get two weeks of magic and bliss that they both needed so desperately. But now, the vacation is over and it’s back to the real world with the agreement to go their separate ways but the universe has other plans for them. Forced together again when Win is accused of murder the sparks pick right back up where they thought they left them as Henry tries to keep it professional between them and clear her name, all of that along with a twist that you don’t see coming this book was a winner!

I Loved it, this was another hit Lexi!!!

This book is better than the first of the series that I read!!!! And Libby Shaw has become my second favorite leading lady (only to be beaten by Scarlett O’ Hara)!!!!  Being a paramedic finding a book a HR book about a woman in the medical field doesn’t get any better for me!  Being on this journey with this woman was incredible and inspiring.  Seeing her find a man who supports her so completely on her journey was both exciting and breath taking.  To say I love this book is a vast understatement.  This series just gets better and better with each book and I can’t wait to read the next one.

This is the second book in this series that I have read and to say I’m hooked is an understatement.  The men in this family make for great heroes and the women they find themselves in love with are equally as wonderful.  After reading the first book I wondered what happened to Diana and North and if they would find their own happily ever-afters.  This book answers that question and was such a fun read at the same time.  I am becoming a serious Eloisa James fan thanks to this series.  I can’t wait for the next book.

This is the third book in this series that I have had the absolute joy of reading.  I am thrilled that the leading characters of this book are both “older” in age and how it plays into the story line.  I am so envious of how the main characters get to “run-away” from their lives to create a for themselves a time of uninterrupted romance.  I was in awe of the sacrifices each was willing to make to save the other and their respective children from humiliation and hurt.  I think my favorite part of this book is that we get to see the internal struggle that Viola experiences from all of her life’s trials and tribulations.  I can’t wait to see where the next book in this series leads me.
