EEP! Just finished the chat for Abbi Glines and got a TON of Forever Too Far (Fallen #3), Including the cover, blurp and some excerpts! Iv’e put them all together and the book is due out JUNE 10th!!

The night breeze was cold now. I immediately shivered and Rush stopped and wrapped his arms around me. “We need to go to the house. I’m not going to make her stand out here and talk. It’s too damn cold.” Rush told his father. 

Dean finally stopped walking and looked back at me. His eyes slowly took me in and I could see the moment he noticed my stomach. 

“Dean, this is Blaire Wynn. My fiancée. Blaire this is Dean Finlay, my father.” Rush said in a tight voice. He didn’t sound like he wanted to make this introduction. 

“No one told me I was gonna be a grandpa,” he said in a slow drawl. I wasn’t sure how he felt about that because there was no emotion on his face. 

“I’ve been busy,” was the only response Rush gave him. That was odd. Was he embarrassed to tell his dad? I felt sick at my stomach and started to ease away from him. 

His arms tightened their hold on me and I could feel his attention focused completely on me. “What’s wrong?” He asked turning his back on his father and bending down so he could look me directly in the eyes. 

I didn’t want to have this conversation in front of Dean. I could feel his dad’s eyes on both of us. I shook my head but my body was still tense. I couldn’t help that. The fact he hadn’t told his father was bothering me. 

“I’m taking her to the car. I’ll meet you back at the house,” Rush said over his shoulder but kept his eyes focused on mine. I dropped my gaze wishing I hadn’t reacted now. I was making a scene. Dean was going to think I was a whinny princess.

Kiro was shirtless and swinging his tattooed arms around with a cigarette between his fingers and a bottle of rum in his other hand. “What the ever loving f*ck is your problem? Hell, you got momma issues then go bitch at mother f*cking Georgianna. Why am I the one being dealt this crazy shit?” Kiro was yelling at Nan when I walked into the game room. A pair of black lace panties were on the pool table but the female I’d left him with a few hours earlier was nowhere to be seen. Small miracles.

“Rush! Do you hear him? He doesn’t care about me. He doesn’t care that he ignored me most of my life and do you know he has a daughter? Some uptight bitch that won’t even look at me.” Nan was still screaming.

I walked over to her and grabbed both her hands. “Take a couple deep breaths, Nan. You gotta calm down so we can all talk. You yelling isn’t gonna fix shit.”

She glared at me but did as I told her to. I waited until she’d taken two deep breaths before squeezing her hands. “Good. Now, go sit over there on that sofa and don’t talk. Let me talk. Okay?”

She frowned but nodded her head and walked over to the white leather sectional sofa that outlined two of the four walls in this room.  Once she was seated I turned back around to look at Kiro. He was taking another long swig from the rum. The man needed to stop drinking and eat something. You could see his ribs. His fetish with leather went beyond furniture. He wore it too. The leather pants he had on were hanging on his tattooed hipbones.

“Can’t believe you got her to shut up for a whole damn minute,” Kiro muttered and put the cigarette back to his lips.

We know, We know, where is the love? We have not been doing a very good job as blogging lately and I totally Blame my other half Josh! (it’s a collective effort) We have both gotten busy with life, but have not forgotten! If you follow our twitter or Facebook then you know I (Vonetta) mostly FB or twitter  daily and quite often  BUT I have been reading like krazy and you guys will be hit with mad crazy reviews, by made crazy i mean like 2 or 3.  BUT Sylvia Day released the first chapter of Entwined With You that comes out June 4th and I ate it up like a fat kid eats Nutella! If you haven’t read it, just click on the book and BAM, Gideon and Eva love. Look for my reviews on Sweet Evil(since I didn’t have this blog when i read it, I’m doing it) and Sweet Peril(currently reading) and I will have to light a fire under my other half to put up his blog soon as well. First off  i need to clarify that there are only a handful of books that leave me like, WOW.. where I have a book hangover from them, FSOG was one and then Opal by Jennifer L Armentrout was the other. Both of those book s are wholly different from Real but Real had just the same effect on me that they did. I was completely shocked by this book and drawn in from the first words.

Brooke Dumas was fresh out of college and looking for work, after loosing her dream of going to the Olympics for track from a torn ACL, she got into sports medicine. She meets Remington ‘Riptide’ Tate at an underground boxing match and he thoroughly swirled her insides all around, he went after her to give her a kiss and ask her name, leaving her  all..

Remington Tate is like sex on a stick, he oozes sex from the moment he is introduced. He’s your typical cocky bastard who knows he’s hot as hell, I mean he has an 8 pack!!! I wasn’t even 10% into the book and I was already hooked on him

He ask her to his hotel room, but not for what she thinks, he wants to hire her to be his sports rehab specialist to travel with him while he is on tour doing the underground boxing thing, she agrees because she needs a job and she is also drawn to Remy in a way that she has never been drawn to anyone before in her life.   They start a sort of friendship, exchanging songs on each other’s iPod’s for the other to listen to and when he played her “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls, you know the one

“And i’d give up forever to touch you…”

Yea, I think i melted when she did and I’ve had it on repeat for the duration of the book and maybe a little bit after.  But after receiving mixed signals from him and getting increasingly sexually frustrated Brooke has had it, she wants him and she wants him now. But Brooke has no idea what she is asking for

“When I take you, I want you to be mine, you need to be certain, I want you to know me first, and then I want you to let me know if you still want me to take you.”

Can you say. WHOA!   Remington’s secret is the not you’re typical hot guy secret, I was both shocked and maybe fell in love with him a little more because of it.  Of course there is sex, I mean hello with a man this hot there HAS to be sex, but it was so much more than that, I love books that have more than just sex!  Remey keeps everyone on edge with his championship on the line and there almost, but not really relationship, but  is Brooke sure this is what she wants after finding out his secret?

I was upset at the end of this book only because it was over and wanted more. again I was in a book hangover but also swoony

If i had this blog at the time of FSOG then I would have done this for those books but since i didn’t  I am doing my first ever 6 out of 5 stars! there I said can’t take it back.

Katy Evans writing is like non that I have ever read, it sucks you in, it’s so full of adjectives and analogies and since I’m a visual kinda gal I loved them all! I can’t wait for more!

When I read books I usually fall in love with a character and follow them if they are in other books even just a little bit, whether the book they were in was good or not, it’s just because the character grabbed me so. With that being said Woods never really grabbed me like that in Fallen Too Far and Never Too Far but I was going to get the book because I am a Fan of Abbi’s.  What had me putting this at the top of my TBR pile was the fact that Abbi had said something about the MC, Della that made me want to read it, and boy was I not disappointed.  This book in my opinion was Abbi’s best!

We have woods whom we know a little about from FTF and NTF but we don’t know Woods until this book.  Living under his father’s thumb and running the golf club in hopes to someday have his stake in it like he grew up knowing he would. But his father has planes for him to get to that. Della Sloan is for lack of a better word a wounded bird. She had a horrible thing happen to her and lived a horrible life and is on her own quest to ‘live’ until she stops in a small town on travels and has a one night stand with who? you guessed it, Woods.

Cut to three months later and Della finds herself back in the small town and face to face with the best one night stand of her life.

who just so happens to now be her new boss, talk about AWKWARD!

Della has demons on top of demons but Woods just can’t seem to stay away. Dose he stay even after her demons are reveled and go against his father’s wishes?  Hummm. (I loved that Blair made a small cameo in the book.)

I loved this book for the simple fact it was totally different from anything Abbi had ever written before. All her other MC’s i have felt for and empathized with but none more than Della. You could feel her hurt pouring off the pages, and of course there was sex(this is an Abbi G book) but the story behind the sex was so much MORE than that! And the ending was kinda

I love her but she is killing me with these endings, I can’t wait for the next!
