I never meant to say a word, not one single word.

But I did.

Now because of something I leaked—without even realizing it—I’ve inadvertently broken up one of the Ice Knights’ most legendary bromances. And worse—I’ve kicked hockey star Ian Petrov’s grumpy level to insane levels of grump.

And what could make it worse? How about the two of us being trapped together in a remote cabin after a massive blizzard. Neither of us can leave. Just us, the snow, his resentment, and OMG sexual tension so thick it would take a snowplow to break through it.

I’ve got to get out of here before I do something even dumber than I’ve already done and kiss the sexy with his misplaced anger and perfect pecs. That would be the worst, the absolute worst. But… would it be terrible if we gave in? Just a little? It’s not like we’re ever going to have to spend time together again.

Until the next morning when we’re told we have to play chummy for the press until this news cycle blows over.

You will enjoy the latest from the Ice Knight family when you meet Ian and Shelby who are both a perfect match. Shelby finds herself at a cabin booked by her friend Lucy to get away from the drama of her leaking out some info that leads to a bestie breakup between two head players. Ian decides after finding out a bombshell that his best friend and fellow player has been hiding, that it is the perfect time to hideaway and disconnect for a few. Well life can sometimes have different plans. Ian does not trust Shelby after she let out information that has caused this drama in his life and now he finds himself in close quarters with the Loud Mouth of media.  Sparks fly when these two have no other choice than to face each other and try to make amends.

Shelby is spunky and independent but a true sweetheart.  She truly has no ill intentions or agendas. I loves her strong character.  Ian was a big broody hockey player with a heart of gold.  He is trying to live in his own shadow and not of his dad’s who was a hockey great and currently also a jerk. These two had major sparks that would melt the Ice. Their first meeting at the beginning of the book is hilarious and it continues through the whole book. This was a great read from Avery as always.
