Rouge by Katy Evans Cover Reveal

Published March 13, 2014 by bookbesties

We all loved Real, Mine and Remey, now Katy is giving us more of her great writing with ROUGE and I can’t wait!!!

Greyson King…

My boyfriend. My friend. My protector. He’s the reason I wake up every morning with a smile on my face, and the reason I fall asleep limp, worn out, and aching for his warm arms around me. When we make love, he says my name like it means something. Like I mean something.

He
Lied.

His name is Greyson King, but his alias is Zero.

There’s zero trace of him, he has zero past, and now I know that with him, I will have zero future.

He may leave no trace of him anywhere, but his imprint is in me, in my very soul—and I hate that a mere look at him commands the beat of my heart. The temperature of my body.

I’ve looked for love my entire life. I’ve waited for the butterflies, the rainbows…

Instead I’m in a free fall of emotions and there’s no one to catch me but the one man I should be running away from. The one man I thought was my prince charming.

Except this prince charming went rogue.

Greyson will stop at nothing to make me be with him. He’ll let no one stand in our way, will allow no one to threaten me, and maybe this is what scares me most of all…

What will my rogue do to keep me?

Toxic by Rachel Van Dyken

Published March 4, 2014 by bookbesties
SYNOPSIS:

Everyone has a secret…Gabe Hyde is on borrowed time. He’s been hiding
his identity for over four years-hidden from the world that used to adore
him–obsess over him–driven to the edge of insanity by one poor choice.

But that one choice, altered the course of his
life forever.

Pretending isn’t all it’s cracked up to be,
especially when pretending means hiding your real self from the people that
care about you the most. But if anyone ever discovered the truth it wouldn’t
just be his life at risk–but hers.
Saylor doesn’t hate men.

Just Gabe.

Only Gabe.

He’s a reckless, happy-go-lucky, silver spoon
fed pain in her ass. Everything about him makes her more and more confused.
Unfortunately they both donate time at the same Group Home. If she wasn’t afraid
of flunking, she’d be long gone. She hates that she’s attracted to him almost
as much as he hates that he’s attracted to her–and she can tell, especially
since their first encounter ended up making her knees so weak she couldn’t form
coherent sentences for weeks afterwards. But the closer she gets to him, the
more confused she becomes. He isn’t who he says he is, and he’s hiding
something big.

What happen when two worlds collide? Two worlds
that never should have met in the first place? Some secrets are too big to be
hidden forever–the only question? Will his destroy everyone he loves? Or
finally bring about the redemption he’s been craving for the past four years?

Everyone has a secret…What’s yours?

Review
This book made me FEEL so much. I  was first introduced to RVD reading Ruin and that book absolutely slayed me, but Gabe’s story ripped me open in so many ways it was just…
Let me start off by saying this is a review that was tough writing, it was very much fiction imitating life for me, the things that happened in the book (past tense) hit really close to home. Like the same exact thing. Gabe was so much darker than first look from Ruin. He is living a lie and loosing himself in the process. How much can one person take before they just…break? Gabe answers that question in Toxic. Then he meets Saylor and his view changes on things. She is everything that he thought he had lost and everything he didn’t want. Saylor see’s through Gabe’s many mask, for the person who he really is when he plays. He plays through his pain and shows his real self to the only person who can hear him.
“Music wasn’t really music unless your soul was exposed unless your heart was either bursting or breaking.”
Their story is heart-wrenching and a new kind of pain to read about, but it was also sensual and loving and sad. Gabe is hiding from who he used to be and not breaking a promise he made. I found myself  taking many chapter breaks while reading. after Saylor crashes Gabe big secret he has no choice but to start talking and when he opeen up, he opens up and it turns out that Gabe is not the only one in hiding.  I loved that the book was written in both POV’s and we still get to see a little of Wes as well.  This was not a review more than it was a how-this-book-made-me-feel and it maybe because it hit so very close to home or the fact that RVD is such an amazing and talented writer that i loved this book so much. I think its both.

EXCERPT:

Life has two stages.
Birth and death. That’s it. What you do in between the two? Well, that’s up to
you, isn’t it? —Wes M
Saylor
Behind me, Gabe ceased all motion. The only way I knew he was
still there was from the heat that seeped into my back from where his body
touched me. More warmth rolled off his hands where they seemed fused to mine.
Any minute now, I expected him to pull away, to slip into mask number one or
mask number two. Instead, he flipped my hands over, gripping them with his
fingers and exhaled, long and slow. Seconds went by, but they may as well have
been years. Each time he let out a breath, my heart skipped a beat of longing,
needing more of his touch — more of something. My back tingled as the hard
planes of his stomach pressed against me. I was in a Gabe cocoon.
And I loved it.
Until the music started.
With slight pressure, Gabe moved my hands to the piano, slowly,
effortlessly placing them on each key.
He was playing through me, using my body as an
instrument to convey the story of his life. Each time he pressed down on one of
my fingertips or guided me to another area of the piano, I felt the sadness of
the song clench deeper. The notes became floating tendrils of pain, each one of
them slowly invading my body and taking hold until it hurt to breathe.
He moved faster and faster, my hands couldn’t keep up. I pulled
back as he continued the song, in such a rush it was like he was yelling but
doing it with music. Unable to convey it in any other way.
With a final burst of movement, he lifted his hands off the
piano and smashed them against the keys, causing a chaos of notes to burst
forth.
Gabe’s breathing was uneven, ragged as he leaned heavily against
me, his chin resting on my head, and he whispered brokenly, “I can’t.”
“You were doing so good.”
“It’s like getting into a car with suicidal tendencies. You keep
going faster and faster, needing the adrenaline to keep you alive until
suddenly you turn the wheel and everything goes black. The notes, they go
higher and higher, and right when I feel like I can change the outcome — I
panic. Some things…” He sighed and pulled away. “Some things are better left in
chaos.”
“Are you sure about that? Are you sure about perfection?” I
folded my hands in my lap, but didn’t turn around.
“Sure.” He moved from behind me and sat on the bench. “If life
was perfect, how in the hell would we ever learn to depend on someone other
than ourselves? If anything, that’s what life’s taught me. The need to be
perfect is stemmed in the very belief that it’s actually something we can
achieve. Self-actualization — doesn’t exist.”
I licked my lips and looked down at the keys. “Does that mean we
don’t try then?”
“No.” Gabe tickled a few of the ivory keys in front of him, the
music note tattoos on his fingertips looking darker against the white of the
piano. “It just means when you reach the end of your rope, you shouldn’t regret
a damn thing, but applaud yourself for trying to do the impossible.”
I felt like he was using double meanings. The philosophical Gabe
was a bit terrifying because he made me feel more insecure than the jackass
Gabe. But the guy sitting next to me right now? I was beginning to understand,
he wasn’t just one person. He was every person, everything, whatever he needed
to be, he was.
Like a chameleon.
And suddenly the ending to the story made sense.
Ten different notes all clamoring at once.
Chaos.
Gabe was Chaos.
“So.” He sniffed and cleared his throat. “Now that I’ve totally
ruined the moment by talking in my serious voice and scaring the shit out of
you — why don’t we work on one of your performance pieces?”
“Okay.” I placed my hands on the piano again, careful to angle
my wrists at the perfect degree and keep my eyes on the music ahead. Sometimes
I wondered if my posture was better than my playing.
“What the hell are you doing?” he asked in calm voice.
I turned and gave him a firm nod[L1] . “I’m getting ready.”
“To go to battle?”
“What?” I relaxed my hands a bit. “No.” I straightened. “This is
the right posture, it’s—”
“If you say perfect, I’m going to kill myself.”
“Someone should have majored in drama.”
He burst out laughing. “Oh, honey, you have no idea.”
“So?” I lifted my wrists again and looked ahead.
“Fine.” He smirked. “Play just like that.”
“Okay.” I started one of my harder pieces, Piano Sonata 14. It
felt exactly the same. The movement wasn’t as fast as some of the others, but
the timing for it had to be perfect.
“Close your eyes,” Gabe instructed.
“But—”
He swatted my wrists. “No arguing with your piano master.”
“Fine.”
“Say ‘yes, master’.”
I smiled tightly, my eyes focusing on the music in front of me.
I started slowly playing. “Not in this lifetime.”
“Bet I could make you say it.” His voice had an arrogant lift to
it, which made me all the more irritated. Master? Um, no.
“Eyes.” He growled again.
With a resigned sigh, I closed my eyes. “Better?”
“Immensely,” he said smoothly.
Darkness enveloped my world. All I had were the notes at my
fingertips. All I had was the music — that and Gabe.
He wasn’t saying anything.
Which killed me.
It also made me want to open my eyes, but I knew he’d probably
just tell me to close them again, so I kept playing.
And then, with a teasing touch, his fingers grazed my chin,
slowly tilting it down toward the piano while his other hand went to my upper
back then slowly moved down until it was in the middle, with a gentle push, he
urged my body closer to the keys.
Eyes closed, posture completely off, I leaned over the piano.
Everything felt wrong as I continued playing.
“Slower,” he said softly.
With a sigh, I started playing slower. His hands moved to my
hips. And stayed there. Other than jumping a foot, I was still able to
concentrate.
“The music,” he whispered, “It’s not just your story — it’s your
lover.”
“Okay,” I squeaked. Heat washed over me as the word lover bounced
around in my brain. I knew it, but I’d never experienced it. How was I supposed
to use something I didn’t know how to use? And how embarrassing was it that I
was stuck in that tiny room having never been… stuck in a tiny room with any
guy? Lover. I’d take him. If I got a choice. It would be him. But people like
Gabe, beautiful people who had music in their soul, who knew how to speak
without words… they weren’t for girls like me.
“Each stroke…” His hands pressed against my hips making me gasp.
“You need to feel it not just on your fingertips — but everywhere.”
Holy. Crap.
“Feel it here,” he squeezed and then ran his hands lightly up my
sides, then resting right underneath my breasts, he pressed again. “And here.”
My breathing picked up speed, as did my music.
“Slow down,” he commanded in that same irritating patient tone.
“Where is this story taking me? Where are you taking your lover?”
“Huh?” I breathed.
“Use your hands to tell me the story — use your body to propel
the story forward, what happens next… Tell the story, Saylor. Make me feel it
without even touching you.”
“But — that’s impossible.”
“You can feel a kiss without touching someone’s lips.”
“I’m confused.”
“Concentrate.” Gabe’s voice was firm. “I want to kiss you.”
“What?” He was lucky I didn’t actually collapse against the
piano this time.
“In the story.” He chuckled. “I want to kiss you in this story,
so kiss me.”
“You want me to get up and kiss you?” Mind you, I was still
trying to play a difficult piece as he was asking me this, which basically
meant I must have had talent, because my body was on fire.
“Without our mouths meeting.”
“Through the music.” I clarified in a doubtful voice.
I could hear the smile in his tone as he answered. “Yes, through
the music, show me what the kiss would feel like. I want to taste it.”
“But how?”
He laughed softly. “I’m touching them.”
“What?”
“My lips,” he countered. “They’re soft, open, wet…”
I squirmed on the piano bench, squeezing my eyes shut. “What
else?”
“As I part my lips… I wonder what your tongue tastes like, what
type of pressure you’d use as you pressed your velvety smooth mouth against
mine. I imagine exploring your mouth not just because I want to — but because I
can’t help it. I’m lost. And your kiss is my salvation… so, Saylor, will you
save me?”
My fingers glided effortlessly over the piano as I imagined his
mouth — the way he smiled, the way he took his lower lip hostage when he was
deep in thought. The dark look he got in his eyes when there was something he
wanted. Our kiss would be epic.
The music picked up speed as I leaned over the piano, pounding
each note with the rhythm of my footsteps as I approached him.
His hands would reach for my hips as he pulled me closer. My
hands hovered over the keys making my hesitation known.
And then I pressed softly against the ivory, leaning forward as
if I was leaning into Gabe with my body pressed against his. My breasts brushed
the keys. I moved closer to the piano and then slowed the music.
His eyes would close.
His lips would part.
And we’d meet in the middle — because both of us wanted the same
thing. Both of us wanted to taste, to explore, to feel.
I slowed my left hand as my right hand moved quicker across the
keys, to show the anticipation.
And then, our mouths would touch.
I pounded the keys with my left hand, making it the loudest part
of the piece which wasn’t normally how it was done.
Our tongues would tangle.
I pounded the piano harder.
His fingers would dig into my arms as he lifted me into the air.
I pulled back from the piano, stopping the music, and then
gently started the rhythmic cadence again.
Our kiss was the perfect joining of music.
He was the left hand, I was the right.
Separate they sounded like silly scales.
Together — they were beautiful.
When I stopped the piece, I was sweating.
“Open your eyes,” Gabe whispered.
He was breathing so heavily it looked like he’d just run a
marathon. With a smile he tucked my fallen hair behind my ear and tilted my
chin toward him.
“That…” He leaned in. “…is how you perform. Like every kiss is
both your first and last — like you’re saying both hello and goodbye — like
you’ve just been born… like you’ve just died.”

Blurb:

Once upon a time, girl met boy and a love story began.

Their future was assured until tragedy struck and deceptions were made.

There are consequences to every action, and the Consequences of Deception are always the most punishing.

Sloane Evans lost nearly everyone that she’s ever loved, but losing Killian Brandt left a scar that never healed.

Four and a half years after turning his back on her, Killian steps back into Sloane’s life in the most shocking of ways, giving her no choice but to abandon her life and go with him.

Why would a man buy a woman that he hates?

Not everything is as it appears.

Love is beautiful, revenge is ugly, and lies destroy lives.

Excerpt:

A horrifying suspicion takes root in my head and a wave of dizziness sweeps through me as I realize that there is only one possible reason that he is here. The only explanation that makes sense is that he wants to be the one to throw me out into the street. Somehow he’s in control of Stephen and Celine’s house, and I just bet he’d done whatever he had to do to get himself into this position. Four and half years he’d been waiting for a shot at me, and now he has it.

“You’re… throwing me out?” I try, damn hard, to keep from breaking down. The tears I keep at bay, but there is a definite warbling of my voice as I ask the question.

Immediately I am angry with myself for showing such weakness and I decide to take the bull by the horns. I am not about to give Killian Brandt, of all people, the pleasure of seeing me break, even though I have to admit to myself that I am definitely breaking. I plow on before he can answer my ridiculous question.

“What am I saying? Of course you’re throwing me out! I’m sure this has to be one of the best moments of your miserable life, you selfish son-of-a-bitch. You want me out? Consider me gone!”

I jump to my feet to go call Demi, only to come to a dead halt when Killian thunders out a command. “Sit your ass down, now.”

I am so shocked by the force behind his words that I immediately drop back onto the couch. I don’t actually fear Killian, but my response to his tone of voice is instantaneous.

For one moment, I allow myself to hope that maybe Killian isn’t here to ruin my life. Maybe, just maybe, he isn’t as bad as I think he was.

“I’m not kicking you out, Sloane. I’m buying you.”

Whatever I thought before? It was all too generous. Killian just turned my life upside down with nine life-changing words.

It hangs out there between us as I gape at him while I try to formulate a response. “Buying me…? This proves that you’re insane! I’m not a commodity. What exactly can I do for you, Killian? Be your maid?”

The look he gives me is a lot like a warning and instinctively I know that whatever he says next isn’t going to be good.

“No, you’re going to be my lover.”

Depression, self-harm, bullying….that’s my reality.

Sex and guys….that’s my escape.

The space between the truth and lies is blurred leaving me torn, lost and confused. And while the monsters that live in my head try to beat me– the two men that I love try to save me.

This is my story of friendship, heartache, and the grueling journey that is mental-illness.

Sometimes you have to get lost in order to be found…

My Review

Upon first getting this book i had NO IDEA it would be so moving and so DEEP. and when I say deep I’m talking Atlantic Ocean deep.

We have Jessica who for her own reasons has made herself the school slut. It’s not something she is proud of and if she could change it she would, but she seems to need the guys she sleeps with to validate her. But it also makes her the brunt of the school bullying. reading what she goes through is horrible and bough back so many childhood memories it was painful, although I didn’t have to go through half of what she did.

But there is one, ONE person in that school who does not treat her like crap and who does not want to ‘have a turn’ with the town slut. Jace is the star of the school, dating the head cheerleader (A.K.A Jessica’s number one tormentor) and has the seemingly perfect life. He see’s Jessica not as the school slut but as a person, funny and an amazing swimmer and he befriends her despite all the ridicule he gets at school and from his now ex-girlfriend.

They are the best of friends but Jessica starts to get those all to familiar feelings for Jace until he puts a halt to it. until one faithful night it all changes.

Therapy Graphic Teaser 2.jpg

Now we skip to 6 years later and Jessica is barely living, after her abrupt night with Jace and the way things were left between them she has been in a downward spiral until Jace shows up at her door wanting answers and oh yea he’s also getting married.

How can she deal? how would anyone? the man she loved, still loved had moved on and she was stuck, in her hated life.

This book gave me so many feels i couldn’t read it all in one sitting. I had to pause for a chapter break a few times. You know a chapter break where you just, need a minute!

This story was great in so many ways, it’s hard to say so without spoiling it, but i deals with some very tough and emotional things, like self-harm and some very intense bullying, self-hate and teenage sex.  it left me emotionally raw(in a good way) and the ending was applaud worthy.

this was a great novel for Kathryn Perez to start with and if the rest of her books are as poignant as this one, sign me up!

Excerpt

Married. Thinking about Jace being married to someone else puts a crack in my armor. It hurts; it burns my throat as I try to swallow the acidic thought of it down.

“Well then, in four weeks you should get married. Buy a big fancy house and go to charity dinners with your mother and wife. You can have the white picket fence and everything. It sounds like a perfect happily ever after, Jace. Don’t give it up for some broken girl you slept with once.” I bite out. I’m doing my best to keep it together, but I’m slowly unraveling. I love him; I hate him. I want him to stay; I need him to go. My contradicting thoughts circle my mind like vultures.

“Jessica, falling in love can’t always be a happily ever after or a once in a lifetime kind of story. Those happen in books, in movies. This is life and it’s real. Life has no script, no outline. We broke the rules of love long ago. All I know for sure is that with you, the rules will never apply.”

Before dejectedly walking out, he stops to look at me once more.

“And you weren’t just a girl I slept with once. You’re a girl I’ve loved—always.” And then he’s gone.

Special Excerpt!

“Rach, do you really need this many shoes?” I watched as she unpacked the third box in our closet, and wondered how any person could ever have a need for that many pairs of shoes.

Her hand stopped mid-way to the shelf with another pair, and her bright blue glare turned on me. I took a step back.

“Are you actually asking me that right now?”

“Say no,” my dad whispered from behind me. “Course he wasn’t, Rachel. He’s just mad that he won’t have anywhere to put his sparkly hooker heels.”

Rachel laughed and went back to putting her dozens of shoes away. “No worries about that one, Rich. I put them up already, they even have their own little place away from everything so they don’t get ruined.”

My mom pushed through Dad and me to get into the closet with an armful of clothes to hang up. “Really, Logan. Give the girl a break, I have more shoes than this.”

“Oh, Marcy! I forgot to tell you—”

“Is this gonna be a long story?” Dad drawled, cutting Rachel off.

“Actually, it is,” she snapped right back with a playful smirk. “So get comfy!” As soon as she launched into her story about whatever the hell those two always talked excitedly about, my dad turned and gave me a shove.

“Have I taught you nothing when it comes to women?” he asked softly.

“What? That’s a shit ton of shoes!” I hissed, and looked back to see her pull more out. I swear to Christ this last box was like Mary Poppins’ purse. It was a never-ending pit of shoes.

“Okay, we’re gonna do this quick and easy. One, your woman can never have too many shoes, clothes, purses, or jewelry. Two, it doesn’t matter if you know you’re right—because God knows your mother is wrong about … well … just about everything—but it doesn’t matter. They are always right. Just say a simple, ‘Yes sweetheart, I’m sorry I’m a dumbass’ and you’ll be fine. Three, them asking if they look okay is a trick question. Because, let’s face it, even if we think it’s the ugliest shirt we’ve ever seen, it’s probably in style and we wouldn’t know either way. So they always look amazing, remember that word.”

I laughed. Rachel could wear a sack and I would think she looked amazing. Or she could wear nothing … I preferred her in nothing. I cleared my throat, and had to look away from Rachel when I started picturing her naked.

“Four, and probably the most important if you want to keep your manhood, do not ever ask if she is PMS-ing. No matter what. Might as well dig your own grave if you do that.”

Too late. I was always asking Rach if that was why she was in a bad mood. And if I was right, there was no way in hell I was going to tell her I was in the wrong. She could bitch about it if she wanted, but I wasn’t going to go easy on her for the sake of getting out of an argument. Arguing with her was one of my favorite things.

Nodding, I slapped my dad’s shoulder and smiled. “Thanks, Dad, I’ll remember all that.”

“… have to go back and see if they’re still there.” Mom was excited about something, and from the look of it, Rachel was too.

“Yeah, we do! Anyway, I just had to tell you about that, I knew you’d flip,” Rach mumbled as she flattened the last box of shoes. Thank God Mary Poppins’ box had officially emptied out.

“That was a lovely story,”—Dad drawled again—“and you tell it so well, with such enthusiasm.”

Mom rolled her eyes and shook her head as she smiled, and Rachel just looked at my dad like she was about to let him have it. At the last second, her head jerked back. “Wait. Forrest Gump … really, Rich? You’re using Forrest Gump quotes to insult me?”

“You have met your match, honey!” Mom cheered, and Dad just huffed in annoyance toward them, but shot me a wink.

“She doesn’t put up with your bullshit or mine. Son, I’m telling you, you better hold on tight to that one.”

“I will, Dad. Rach, are you done with the shoes?”

“I’m not sure. If you bring up my shoes again, I could probably sit here and re-arrange them, maybe set them up by color, size of the heel, and length of the boot.”

“Woman, get out of the damn closet. I have to put this up, and if you coordinate your shoes, I swear to you they will be in a pile on the floor the next time you come in here.”

“Logan Kash Ryan!” Mom chided at the same time Rachel swore, “I will gut you.”

My little Sour Patch. So fucking cute when she’s threatening my life.

“Wait, what are you putting up?” she asked as she walked out of the closet that was big enough for a car.

“Fake wall.”

“Uh. Why?”

“Kind of like a really cheap safe room. Actually, that’s a lie. It’s just for you to hide behind if someone were to break in or something.”

She laughed loudly and kissed my throat. “Kash, really? You’re being just a little bit paranoid. We’re not putting up a fake wall.”

Before she could move away, I wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close. “Babe. I almost lost you once, I’ll be working shitty hours and there will be a lot of nights you’re here alone. This is for my peace of mind, don’t be difficult.”

“Nothing is going to—”

“Rachel, stop. We’re putting up the wall.”

“You’re being paranoid!”

I kissed her hard once before pushing her gently away. “I probably am, but I don’t care. With all the clothes hung up, you won’t even notice it’s there. And if something happens, it’s there for you to hide behind. I love you, but I’m getting my way on this, okay?”

She rolled her eyes and gave my mom a look that Mom clearly understood since she started laughing. “All right, Kash. If you want to put up the fake wall to help you sleep at night—err, to keep you happy when you’re away—then have at it.”

About Molly McAdams:
Molly McAdams grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband and furry daughter. Her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling and long walks on the beach, which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. When she’s not at work, she can be found hiding out in her bedroom surrounded by her laptop, cell, Kindle and fighting over the TV remote. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies, fried pickles and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm…or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren’t really happening.

EXCERPT – Limo
Sex:

“Tybee
Island. That’s what I was handling with Bane. I rented us a house on the beach
after we left the doctor’s office. You’ll be safe, Alli, I promise. Security is
already in place.”
The
last statement and somber tone in his voice has me instantly pulling back from
the window.
“Damien,
you are the only person I feel completely safe with while this maniac is out
there. I don’t worry about not being safe when I’m with you.”
He
sends a quick text, and then he grabs the nape of my neck and pulls me to him.
Whatever was missing is back in full force and then some as my body warms, and
he begins to penetrate all my senses. The familiar haze comes over me, and the
world completely begins to slide away.
I’m not
even waiting for foreplay as I wrench my shirt and bra off my body. Damien’s
warm mouth immediately encapsulates my breast, and I arch at the pleasure that
begins to radiate down to my core, igniting a burn down there.
I need
my husband shirtless now.
 I
go to the bottom of his thermal shirt and start to pull it up. He immediately
disengages from my body as he takes over, and he has it over his head and
discarded in about a quarter of the time it would have taken me. In one
movement, he’s picked me up and laid me out on the limo floor.
He goes
for my pants and pulls them from my body. “Fuck, Alli, you are beautiful.”
I try
to do a seductive smile, but then his finger slides down my cleft and dips into
my core. I arch off the limo floor. He undoes his pants enough to free himself,
and he is on top of me immediately.
“I
can’t wait. I need inside you now.”
I open
my legs up in invitation and whimper at the friction as he enters me.
“Oh,
Damien, please, yes. It’s been too long.”

MJ Fields had no clue what she was getting into when she began the journey of writing. She say’s, “I still don’t–but I like it!”

Her imagination became apparent at age three. Sigma was her very first (imaginary) boyfriend. He lived about fifteen miles from her family’s farm. She took him chicken noodle soup every night on one of their snowmobiles.(Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring). Apparently he was very ill and “Thank God” she was able to take care of him.

At eight her love for writing blossomed. Together with her cousins (of course she was the president) they wrote a newsletter and sold it to their family members.

Years later she decided to put it back into print to entertain her cousin as she was on an aircraft carrier on 9/11, very far away from home during a scary time for our country.

Fast forward to 2012. She read 50 Shades and thought, ‘I wanna do that!’ (meaning writing).

She has two complete series, The Love Series and Wrapped. There are also two new series Burning Souls and Men of Steel that are as of now not complete. Thirteen books in sixteen months. CrAzY and wonderful.

She loves love!

Her Mom raised her right. She says please and thank you and means it. She expects the same out of her child. ‘It’s the right thing to do.’

Her mother taught her to take care of herself and others. ‘I don’t like leaving the house without mascara even if I’m in an oversized hoody and warm up pants.’

Her Dad taught her how to work hard and never expect to be handed anything. She likes to work and doesn’t mind getting dirty.

Both taught her to be respectful and the importance of doing the right thing regardless of what people around her do. They taught her about the importance of family and that it didn’t always just include blood relatives. They also tried to teach her how to keep my thoughts to myself…she is still working on that.

MJ tends to enjoy watching people grow and change with self realization and moments of clarity that just sneak up behind you and smack you in the head.

She loves people and has always been able to see both sides of a story. ‘Each person that comes into our life leaves us with something it is what we choose to do with it that helps us grow.’

She lives in central New York in the middle of nowhere and is surrounded by family and friend most the time. She ran a small business out of her home and has recently closed her door to pursue this dream full time. She spends time writing and doing the typical Mommy things. Her house is full of pets, friends, and noise ninety percent of the time, and she would have it no other way.
