I am a domestic engineer (born and raised in NJ) whose sole responsibility is to guide three young, impressionable kids into becoming phenomenal adults. Before becoming a domestic goddess (not really), I spent over a decade in the medical field, where I wore more hats than the Queen.

I’ve spent many years crafting stories in my brain. Finally, after the encouragement from those that love and support me the most, I put my first story out by self-publishing in 2013.

That first milestone created a writing monster in me that couldn’t be stopped and filled a void I cannot explain. Each story is a true gift from my heart and a sacrifice from my soul, since I find it difficult to let the characters go.

At home in Texas, my husband and I share our life with children that mean the world to us and include a couple of fur babies. When we aren’t busy watching sports and betting on the game, we are entertaining with friends.

I have never read a story by Roni Loren before but upon reading the synopsis I was intrigued. I mean who doesn’t like a good BDSM story right?

It all started with a big ass bottle of tequila, a shy and focused recent college grad and two hot neighbors. What is it about Tequila that give you the courage to do things you have always wanted to do? And what better excuse than the I-just-graduated-from-college-I-want-to-do-let-go-before-I-begin-my-boring-life excuse? It’s a perfect way for Cela to catch up on all the wildness she was supposed to have in college and didn’t because she was too focused on her studies.

So right off the bat I loved Foster, there was something about him that I was just drawn to, maybe I could sense the tortured soul underneath all that Master stuff. It took me a while to warm up to Cela and that’s maybe because I never read the previous books. Although this book is a spin off from Loren’s other series it may have still helped me to be a little acquainted with her first she just didn’t touch me like Foster did. The book is in a kind of duel POV that was a little hard to follow at first but after a few chapters it was hardly noticed.

I thought this book was going for a cliché love triangles especially after a night out at the club leads all three of them to a hotel for the night. And I cannot, I repeat, cannot stand love triangles! But it’s clear even from minute one that Cela has interest in one person and one person only. While I loved Foster, he did confuse me at first, he was how old and how successful and STILL had a roommate? Why?! That all became apparent to me as I further read. And while I found this to be a hot read, I did find it to drag for me and it was hard to get through those parts. I felt that if the book was 100 pages lighter than it would have gotten a better response from me. I still enjoyed it and would totally read more by this Author if given the chance.

The back elevator dinged as he approached, and the doors slid back to reveal Jesse’s face. He had circles under his eyes and worry lines in his forehead. Two fingers held a garment bag over one shoulder and a duffle over his other.

“Is it still okay if I stay?” He put a smile on his lips that George knew was fake.

“But of course. Let me help you.” George approached him and tried to take the bag, but Jesse didn’t move to hand it over.

“I’ve got it.”

“Don’t be absurd. I would have a slave do it, but he’s rather tied up at the moment.”

The statement earned a chuckle out of Jesse, and he gave up the bag. Even hurt Jesse had a light in his blue eyes and his heart on his sleeve, a trait that made him wholly unique compared to the masks most wore to impress George.

“I can stay on the sofa or something if the slaves use the guest rooms.”

George laughed and turned his back to stalk down the hall. When he didn’t hear Jesse following, he cast a glance over his shoulder.

“Slaves in bed … how naive you really are, handsome.”

Jesse started after him, brow creased. “Where do they sleep then?” He caught up and followed George to the other side of the penthouse.

He realized Jesse was serious, and he laughed throatily again. “I have cages for them.”

“I love you and Daniel, but your lifestyle is fucked.”
