Christy Carlyle concludes her Duke’s Den series with this sparkling romance about two reluctant allies intent on following the rules and breaking every single one.
His Only Regret…
Rhys Forester, the new Duke of Claremont, lives his life by four words: Enjoy All, Regret Nothing. He’s devoted to the pleasure of his wild soirees, reckless behavior, and shocking the ton with his interests in trade. The debts that come with his title don’t fit the carefree lifestyle he’s created and when he’s forced to return to his family’s estate, he’s also forced to confront his one and only regret: the beautiful girl he left behind.

Bella’s hopes to live a comfortable life, alone, come crashing down when her parents demand she marry. But her salvation may come in the form of the man she hates the most.
Bella has never forgiven Rhys for what he did to her, but desperate times call for fake engagements. With a few dozen rules, their scheme begins, but it’s not long before the former enemies find themselves breaking every single rule, including the most important of them all: don’t fall in love…
Welcome to the third book in Christy Carlyle’s The Duke’s Den Series! Finally, we get to
know the third and most carefree member of The Duke’s Den, Rhys and see him get his happy ending. This series has been so much fun to read and I have loved every page of it! This book simply adds to that love and enjoyment. I am so happy that this series is based on the leading male characters and their stories as opposed to many historical romance books/ series being based on female characters. Seeing these strong men fall in love and only get stronger through the love of their interests is a welcome change from the norm.
While Arabella “Bella” Prescott loves her life with her parents writing is her true passion
and she is close to having her first puzzle book published. She is completely content to spend the rest of her life as a spinster, living in the country with her family and writing her books. She thrives on structure, order, lists, and creating the riddles and puzzles that will fill her book. That is until her father is given an offer he should not refuse. Taking the professor job in Greece is not only her father’s dream job it would be good for his failing health too. She will never be able to publish her book from Greece and her parents are convinced that they cannot leave her
in England unless she is married or at the very least engaged. Too bad there is only one man who she would have ever considered marrying, and he carelessly broke her heart. Will fate find a way to make all her dreams come true or will she sacrifice it all for the love of her father? Rhys Forester, Duke of Claremont lives a life of scandal in fact it’s what he has become known for. Little do his friends know that his seemingly carefree life is really his attempt to
shirk the responsibilities of his dukedom. When a bank note he issued to help fund an
investment gets returned his best friends and co-investors of The Duke’s Den make him face reality and put him on a mission to find out where all his money has gone. His investigation leads him back to his childhood home at his country estate where he suspects he will find the person who has been mismanaging his money. Sadly, numbers have always been a struggle for Rhys, and he is going to need help going through the ledgers to figure out just where the money has gone.
There is only one person he trusts with the job, unfortunately he disappointed her deeply when they were younger, and he is sure she still hates him. He is determined to make amends with the one woman who has ever seen him as more than scandal and a title and who can truly help him? Will his determination pay off or will it end up in heart break? I really hope you all enjoy this book as much as I did!
