When a famous music producer moves to Lake Starlight it can’t just be a coincidence. It’s the universe helping to move things along in the right direction so that Griffin Thorne can discover me.
I have to confess—I’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen.
Confession #1: I may have overhead that he was in search of a nanny. What can I say? My brother has a big mouth.
Confession #2: It’s possible I helped along the assumption that I had nanny experience. Hey, babysitting my nieces and nephew counts, right?
Confession #3: There’s a good chance I oversold my qualifications. But my Grandma Dori backed me up, so it’s not completely my fault.
And it worked. He hired me. Only for me to find out that he left the business.
I guess it’s on to Plan B.
When he accidentally overhears me singing, I expect nothing from him. Then he asks to work with me on a song for our town’s Founder’s Day Parade and it feels like a dream come true. Until…
First let’s talk about I love in the Bailey series the titles of confessions with each book. This one of course is about Phoenix who is the younger of the Bailey children and also a twin. Aspiring singer Phoenix has been trying to get a meet n greet with Griffin Thorne who whatever he touches turns to gold.
Only issue is one roadblock in the form of her brother who refuses to introduce them. Well between a chance meeting and Grandma Dori to cement a deal Phoenix becomes the Nanny to Griffin child. Yep a Nanny I mean babysitting nieces and nephews counts as experience right? Well when she finds out that Griffin is no longer in the business it is time to come up with a plan B.
Well plans sometimes don’t go the way we want them to. I am a live of the Bailey family series and that is the work of how personable these characters are. Every time I read a book from this series it makes me want to go visit Lake Starlight and hang out with this magnetic family. I did have a moment where I wanted to shake both characters but that is besides the point. Again always a great read when reading anything from this author. I always mourn when I get to the end but there was a bonus epilogue that I loved. Also be warned that you won’t want to miss the last couple pages that will clue you in on the next Bailey book. I will be patiently waiting(not so patiently lol) for the next sibling.
