Shredded (Extreme Risk, #1)

A hot tattooed, bad-boy snowboarder? Um, yes please sign me up! I have read just about every book you can think of about a bad boy, rocker, biker, caged fighter, computer genies, you name it. But I have never read about a snowboarder, which is why when I came across this one, I jumped at the chance to read it.

Z Michele’s is an a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie, world-class athlete and Olympic contender extraordinaire. But he could care less about any of that, coasting through life living off of women, booze and boarding, that’s the only way he knows how to survive, how to cope with the life he has been dealt after his world was turned upside down at the age of ten.

Ophelia is trying to escape a past that nearly killed her. When she meets Z, she sees all the signs of her past in him but something draws her to him, can they both fix each other are they too shredded?

Right away the writing style that Tracy hits you with is so descriptive it paints a great mental image for the reader.

“…And his abs. Omigod, his abs are a work of art. Forget six-pack. This guy has an eight-working-on-ten-pack, and for second-just a second- my eyes nearly cross as I imagine what it would be like to lick a path straight from his collarbone to his naval.”

I found myself emphasizing more in this case with Z(the male) then Ophelia(the female), because as awful as it was what happened to Ophelia, if anything like what happened to Z had happened to me, it would have crushed me so hard I would have been dust! I totally understood why he did all the things that he did and was not remotely mad at him for them, even if that was the intention and the direction the story was supposed to go. But I think that having the story in BOTH Z’s and Ophelia’s POV helped.

I should have read more books about hot badass snowboarders if I had known that they were put-a-hole-in-my-kindle-HOT! The scenes between z and Ophelia are filled with passion, not just sex, it makes it all the more better (for visualizing) when reading it.

I loved their story and the ending for them was great, I also loved how it explosively led into the next book in the series! I cannot wait to see how that one plays out!

This was  my first book by Tracy Wolff and from what I just read I will defiantly be reading the next in the Extreme Risk Novel’s.

4 out of 5 stars
