Malicious Mischief by Marianne Harden

Published October 27, 2013 by bookbesties

I was über excited about this book by reading the description, at first glance who wouldn’t be right?

Within the first 5 pages I was thoroughly confused about what was going on and I thought it would get better and it was just laying the ground work for an awesome book. Boy was I wrong!

This book was very ADD for me, I found myself scratching my head on more than one occasion while reading it.

I thought it would get better but when I got to page 200 and it was still the same I knew it.  The MC is likable and I think her transformation by the end of the book was great, and the love interest in the book were OK but not fleshed out as much.  I think I wanted to keep reading to see if it would get better and to see the outcome of all the chaos that was happening. I like mystery novels and I find it fun if I can figure out the plot before the end of the book, but this had so much going on it was very hard to focus on , I’m not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.  I did like the witty sayings at the beginning of each chapter.

“Just when you think life’s a bitch, it has puppies.”

I’m sure it was done to have a humorous effect but I didn’t find it that funny. Sadly this book left me more confused than , and not in a good way, than entertained.
