One of New York Times bestselling author Samantha Young’s most beloved couples returns for the first time in a brand new novella set ten years after her blockbuster bestseller Before Jamaica Lane…
Nate and Liv have a great life together but they miss the spontaneity and freedom they enjoyed early on in their romance. Careers and their children have inevitably kept them busy, so when Nate discovers Liv is feeling disconnected from him, he plans an anniversary trip to the idyllic seaside town of Hartwell, Delaware. There he hopes they will have the opportunity they’ve been craving–a chance to reinvent themselves and fall in love all over again.
With each new day comes a new adventure, from wedding crashing at the five-star boardwalk hotel to pretending they are two strangers having a chance encounter at the boardwalk bar. In the midst of this daring, sexually-charged game of romantic rediscovery, Nate and Liv discover the only constant they need is each other.
I heard about Nate and Liv in their original book so I was definitely interested to see how this story would go. At first I was taken aback with Liv in the opening but decided I had to see where this story went and it was definitely not what I thought and points to Samantha for that! Being older with kids, life tends to get in the way and then you look and time has flown right by you and you realized you missed things. This story really spoke to me because I too am coming up on a birthday milestone and I can truly understand how Liv is feeling! You start to think “I am no spring chicken, my body is out of shape”, and you feel insecure to a point. I felt everything that Liv was feeling, Is my husband still attracted to me like when we first met? Well , to say her husband, Nate is, is an understatement. He plans a trip for her birthday and they go back the town they both fell in love with to spark and reignite their fire! Sexy scenes and heartfelt romance you don’t want to miss and The discoveries of the romance that has always been there were so perfect. I loved the story and of course loved these two characters! Great job Samantha! This is a must read!
