She wants a baby. He wants her. Simple enough, right?
Ellie Godfrey has kissed her share of frogs. So many, in fact, that she fears she won’t recognize her prince if and when he finally comes along. Tired of waiting for THE ONE, Ellie decides to have a baby on her own before it’s too late.
When Jasper Autry hears about Ellie’s plan, what else can he do but step in and offer to “contribute” to her project. Does that make him an opportunist? Whatever. He wants the perpetually out-of-reach Ellie Godfrey, and when he sees his chance, he takes it. That she’s the sister of his business partner and close friend Flynn gives him pause, but it doesn’t stop him from having what he wants.
As Jasper and Ellie embark upon their secret “project,” he makes it clear that for as long as they’re together, he’s in charge—in the bedroom anyway. After the hottest sex of her life, Ellie realizes she’s made a deal with the devil himself.
This was my first time reading anything By M.S. Force but when the opportunity fell in my lap and I read the plot, I couldn’t resist. I love baby drama of any kind plus add in some BDSM and how could you not want to read it?
I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed the story and even though it was the 5th in a series it can be read as a standalone.
Ellie is a self-assured strong willed BOSS! She has the ‘i don’t need a man’ vibe going on but not in a overpowering way. She has a good life, good job, good everything but she wants a baby and doesn’t feel she needs to find a man and get married to achieve this.
Enter Jasper, hot British and did I mention hot? Long time friend of the family he offers to ‘help’ her make a baby. To Jasper it’s his way of having his cake and eating it too since he has always harbored feelings for her.
This is where it started to get interesting because as you know, Jasper is a DOM, but to me, at times, he also read a little weak to be a DOM. Like I’m some BDSM expert or something but it just felt weird for him to take charge in the bedroom, and then when things go haywire in his personal life he kinda turned into a pansy. And do the British really say ‘Love’ and ‘Darling’ all the time?(that got a bit annoying) That’s not to say that I didn’t love the story and the chemistry between him and Ellie was hot. I enjoyed the other characters who obviously came before this story so much so that half way through Ravenous I purchased the first book in the series Virtuous.
I’m excited to delve into Nat and Flynn’s story and the rest and M.S. Force has made a fan out of me!
