TAHOE ROTH.
Irreverent, cocky, playful and naughty.
He’s not the guy you date.
He’s the one night stand.
The one your mother warned you about.
The one your body craves.
You’d think the man who called me succulent would want to strip me down and spread me out on his bed—like he’s done with countless others.
But he passed on my offer….
Just like I’d once passed on his.
He’s wary, like I am.
He’s broken, like I am.
And everyone knows two broken parts can’t ever make a whole.
Tahoe and I are strictly friends.
So I distract myself with other men.
He doesn’t think my new man is good enough. This blond blue-eyed beast doesn’t think any man is—himself included.
But the more time we spend together, the more confused I feel.
I’m trying to open myself to love.
Yet I’m quickly realizing that the only man I want is Tahoe Roth.
The one man who will surely break my heart.
I thought that Saint and Rachel’s book was the greatest love story ever told until I read Ladies Man.
Tahoe and Regina have an epic romance that’s not even a romance and takes them both by surprise. This is in no way an insta love story, having taken place over the course of a year, Katy takes you on the ups and downs of their friendship.
Gina, as we know from Manwhore had been burned by her greatest love, and has therefore closed herself off from finding love again, until her best friend fell in love and got married. Now with Gina being the lone friend who is not in a relationship she thinks maybe its time.
Tahoe is in a word; a player. A ladies man who enjoys the title greatly, but he, who has never had a female who was ‘friends only’ sees Regina as just that…maybe.
This story was such a great and refreshing read. You know the stories that take you on a journey and you experience everything with the main MC and you find yourself slowly falling in love at the same time the character is? THAT is what this is.
“…my world tilts and everything becomes nothing, and nothing but a peck becomes everything. Everything.”
Wow, right?
I always wonder how Katy will write the perfect guy, suave, yet a little dangerous and every time I am amazed that she does it so perfectly, it leaves you a little breathless.
“God, this mouth belongs to me, this mouth was made for me.”
Annnnnd queue the falling to the floor in a warm gooey Tahoe puddle.
I, as always, can’t wait for Katy’s next masterpiece.
