The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that comes with her.
Lydia Green doesn’t know whether to burn down the church or sit and
cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it’s with his best man is another thing all together. She narrowly escapes tying the knot and meets Vaughan only hours later.
Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessman she thought she’d marry. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and unsettled. But she already tried Mr. Right and discovered he’s all wrong-maybe it’s time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.
After all, what’s wrong with getting dirty?
I have been a fan of Kylie Scott ever since Lick and either I’d forgotten how hilarious she is or this book was just that hilarious!
From page one I could not stop laughing at Lydia, she was so funny and given everything that had happened it was either be funny or have a mental break down.
Vaughn and Lydia meet under unusual circumstances on her wedding day and from there hilarity ensues! Vaughn is on town to sell his family home and gets roped dragged into helping Lydia and while he’s there he might as well work at the bar his sister owns too. Vaughn is all sexy rockstar ad Lydia is straight laced, never walk on the bad side women, until Vaughn and dirty is not the word. That’s not to say that the book was all fun and games(although mostly) there were some great moments mixed in there as well, some serious things as well as sexy, oh god the SEXY!
While the book is a spine off it does have at least one of the stage dive boys making an appearance in it which was a bonus! The book is a little predictable but in a fun that’s what you wanted to happen way, this will make for a great weekend beach read or a re-read in my case as i really, really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next.
